Aleena Rose is an author based in New York City, where she studies history at Columbia University. When she isn't writing her Bonnie and Clyde retelling, you can find her in a museum or a coffee shop. She is the proud founder, creative director, and former EIC of ECHO Review.

Elise is an author and poet from Ohio, currently studying English Education. Her work is driven by a passion for supporting the next generation of writers and creatives. Elise is proud to have had her poetry featured by the OSU's Wexner Center for the Arts, and she previously served as ECHO's Poetry and CNF Feedback Director. On the rare occasion she isn't editing her second novel, Elise enjoys hoarding notebooks and engaging in obnoxious karaoke sessions.

ASHLYNN ZHANG

Ashlynn Zhang is a fiction writer and editor from Malaysia with an enthusiasm for all things fantasy, forbidden love, and morally grey men bent on villainy. Apart from running her journal newsletter Ashlynn's Gone Off Script, she is also an editor with Spellbinder Literary Magazine and ECHO Review. She is currently studying for her bachelor's degree in English with Creative Writing at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, while also developing on what will hopefully be her debut fantasy novel. ​

KLETHON GOMES

Klethon Gomes is an NYU Abu Dhabi graduate with a degree in Political Science and Literature. Passionate about the role of literature in challenging seemingly perpetual social narratives, Klethon's poetry often finds itself at the intersections of race, grief, and love. His experience spans from being part of Airport Road Literary Magazine's editorial board to being one of the founders of The Writing Career Collective during his time at NYU Abu Dhabi. Besides writing, Klethon loves going on picnics, roller skating, and trying new perfumes.

Tahlia is finishing up her studies in global literature and history while working in the Preservation department of a library and serving as Prose Fiction Editor for ECHO Review. She loves to learn new things and read fresh perspectives, and has a particular interest in translation. In her personal writing career, she has written three novels, but may very well write a few more before pursuing publication. Some of her favorite things include handling very old books, watching the works of Mike Flanagan, walking through the forest, reliving her music kid days, daydreaming by open windows, and nerding out.

OLIVIA PALMER

Olivia Palmer is a lifelong writer hailing from Massachusetts. As a third-year college student studying Political Science & Creative Writing, she is passionate about the intersection between storytelling and humanity. She was most recently published in literary journal "The Foundationalist", and her work typically explores political & feminist theory through a mythical, larger-than-life lens. When she isn’t writing, you can almost certainly find her traveling in pursuit of her next great adventure.

KATIE HIRSCHBOECK

Katie Hirschboeck is a poet and essayist whose work bridges the ancient and the contemporary. A graduate of Grinnell College, she delights in reading ancient texts in their original languages and pursues research interests in 19th-century American poetry, Ancient Greek Old Comedy, and the afterlives of the classical tradition. She also draws on her background in Peace and Conflict Studies, exploring how literature shapes and reflects struggles for justice and reconciliation.

Anika is a third-year student at the University of Washington, majoring in English and Law, Societies, and Justice and a member of the Interdisciplinary Honors Program. She is currently working on the second draft of her fantasy novel. ​

Berfin Lara is the Social Media Director of Echo Review. She is a dentistry student with a love for literature and history. When she’s not studying, she’s either reading books, watching 2000s rom-coms or consuming concerning amounts of coffee. ​

Assistant Social Media Manager

Lucy Halley is the Assistant Social Media Manager for ECHO Review. She is based in the South West of England, in the very foothills of the legends of Arthur the Great, and is a Law student at the University of Exeter. In her free time, she enjoys watching 90s Hugh Grant films, exploring English stately homes or Greco-Roman ruins, and spending way too much time making Pinterest boards. She is also a content creator and author, and her debut novel ‘HYACINTHUS’ will be published by Ipomoea Publishing.​

Alya Solace (she/her/hers) is a second year Neuroscience major living in America. She is a firm believer that the STEM and humanities are meant to be loved together, and hopes to pursue a career in neurology or reproductive care while also continuing to write novels. She is currently editing her novel ANATOMICALLY SOUND, and creates writing content about it on Instagram and TikTok. She is beyond excited to share about ECHO on these platforms. In her free time, she enjoys book shopping and binge-watching Criminal Minds.

Emily is a first-year journalism student born and raised in Canada's capital. She has a variety of dream jobs, ranging from a political reporter to an investigative journalist to a divorce attorney. When she's not reading or writing, she spends her free time consuming media that is unserious and fun. ​

Jessica is a high school student based in Indiana. She prefers to think of herself as a jack of all trades with passion in literature, marine biology, tech theatre, business, graphic design, and much more. She currently also works as Chartium's editorial director. Her current WIP is a political dystopian fantasy which she hopes to publish one day. ​

​Mitra Katsuyoshi is an artist and designer pursuing a BFA degree in Graphic Design. She enjoys all things literature, mythology, and art, and hopes to work as an artist and designer within the publishing industry, designing book covers and other literature-related content to uplift writers and their stories. When she's not designing, you can find her obsessing over myths and book characters, drawing fan art, and re-underlining every single sentence in East of Eden.

In her free time, she enjoys going to the movies, knitting, and going on nature walks. She has poetry published in multiple online literary magazines and is currently a student at Vassar College, where she plans to study English and History. She is also working on starting her first novel.

Meadow Nakano is a writer of all things fiction with a fondness for the outdoors. They are currently pursuing a dual degree in Fisheries, Wildlife, & Conservation Sciences and Sustainability. Having earned two degrees in Creative Writing from Stephen F. Austin State University, as well as double minors in Literature and Theatre, J. S. Couch (they/she/he) is an avid lover of British Romantic poetry and historical fiction. During their undergraduate career, they edited fiction submissions for the 15th issue of HUMID; as a graduate student, they served as Managing Editor for the university's international literary journal, Re:AL: Regarding Arts & Letters. Their works have appeared in issues of ECHO, miniskirt magazine, and The Genre Society, and when they aren't submitting to litmags or teaching First-Year Writing, they can be found thrifting, table-top roleplaying, and bringing fiction to the stage at their local community theater.

Samriddhi Kumar (goes by Sam) is currently a third year English Literature student at St. Xavier’s College Autonomous, Calcutta, working as Feedback Editors for two international youth magazines. She is an independent researcher and is fervent about classics and poetry, primarily based on the Victorian epoch. As an aspiring writer, in her leisure time, she either delves into her never-ending tbr or crafts random poems and prose pieces in her journal (which she never publishes)! ​

Jessy Taylor (she/her) is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in English, German, and Creative Writing at the University of Richmond. She's the recipient of the 2025 Margaret Haley Carpenter Award for Poetry and has had works of poetry published in The Messenger. In her free time, you can find her translating German poetry and pondering the psychology of haunted houses.

Holly Thorpe is a Welsh poet, author, and editor. She is a board member of Voicebox Wxm and part of several UK-based writing communities, such as Hive South Yorkshire. She has been published in several anthologies and competed at poetry slams such as One Mic Stand x The Forward Prizes and The Big Gay Poetry Night with strange poetry about potatoes, cash machines, and more. ​

RABIYA REHMAN

Poetry Feedback Managerial Assistant

​Rabiya Rehman is the Poetry Feedback Managerial Assistant at ECHO Review and a graduate student in English Literature based in Pakistan, a place known for its centuries-old tradition of Sufi poetry and searching questions about the self. Her research and interests lie in speculative fiction and the ways stories shape both culture and selfhood. She’s worked as an editor for several literary magazines and genuinely loves the messy process of writing. Outside of literature, she runs a clothing startup, spends her free time befriending stray animals, and falling down internet rabbit holes.

Adelia is currently pursuing a BSc in Quantitative Economics, and a second major in Political Science. Outside of her degree, she is also deeply passionate about the humanities. She has been an avid reader and writer since young, with one of her favourite plays being Euripedes' Medea. Academic interests aside, she is also a gymnastics coach and a competitive boxer.

Elliana Arnold is pursuing her degree in English Secondary Education with a minor in Writing at The Catholic University of America in DC. When she's not deep in the throes of writing, she can be found tossing a frisbee with her team, arranging music and jamming with her a cappella group, or lounging on the lawn with chai and a good book.

Anika Bhuta is a biotechnologist and writer, ever in search of divine inspiration within Nature and her children. She is the co-founder of The Pipette Press, a student-run biosciences newsletter, and serves as the feedback editor for Echo Review. As a lover of imagery, she is often found weaving allegories in her notes app or connecting the tarot cards in a spread into a complete picture. At other times, you can catch her perusing Google Scholar as part of the literature review for a research project, with a cat she raised beside her. ​

Anna is a second-year student at Miami University, studying Professional Writing with a minor in Creative Writing. She loves storytelling in all of its forms, from the rhetoric of a social media post to the arc of a short story. Her other passions include telling other people's stories through plays and musicals, as well as creating art with nail polish or oil pastels.
