SUBMISSIONS FOR ISSUE V ARE CLOSED
ISSUE V: TIMELESS
Love: the most lawless of the world’s conquerors. It is the strongest to transcend time, the most dominating in capturing its subjects, and the most forceful blade. It lives in the crevices of each war’s history, and breathes from the newborn flowers of each field.
Bring us across the timeless narrative of this conqueror, across the fires it has kindled and the hurricanes it has woven. Bring us all of the subjects beneath its crown, and the tales of their subjugation.

What we're looking for
Echo Review wants history. We don't mind what it is, or how personal it is--we simply want work that will force us to look back at the past. We want your raw, beautiful, hideous, real, wonderous depictions of it. To keep it simple; if it can be classified as historical content, we want it.
Unless an issue is specifically labelled as un-themed, we do not accept work that is unrelated to history in some way.

What we're not looking for
While we are glad to consider work that explores the darker faces of humanity and history, we will under NO circumstances accept work that glorifies or agrees with mankind's prejudice, hatred, or violence. We want to discuss these issues, not place them on a pedestal.
What we accept
Echo Review accepts the following:
All pieces must be in Times New Roman font. We ask that you submit with standard formatting (plain black text, double-spaced, etc.) for readability purposes. However, if your piece is structured a specific way for artistic purposes, we will make an exception. All pieces must be uploaded as a PDF.
We allow simultaneous submissions. If your piece is accepted elsewhere, however, please let us know as soon as possible.
We do not accept previously published work.
We request that ECHO has First North American Serial Rights. Rights will revert back to you once you are published. If you are published with ECHO and would later like to publish a piece with another magazine, please be sure to credit us as your piece's original publication site!
- PROSE (short stories, flash fiction, creative non-fiction, and essays): up to 3 pieces, no more than 2,000 words each
