SUBMISSIONS FOR ISSUE VI ARE CLOSED
ISSUE VI: SILENCED
History is written by screams. Through chapters of revolutions and conquerors, the loudest voices have etched their ways into the stones, weaving themselves into time's tapestry - but what about the whispers? What of the words that died in throats or were wrenched away in the night? For every hero recorded in the tomes of history, there are countless that go unnamed, their stories buried beneath dusty libraries or burned to the howls of a crowd. For our sixth issue, we seek to return the voice to the voiceless.
Give us the echoes of the silenced, the censored, the forgotten. Bring us the forbidden words of a poet whose verses were destroyed, the erased art of a painter, or the unwritten tale of a community marginalized and on its knees. We are seeking to write the silence back into the narrative. Show us the untold truths that have shaped the world from the shadows - ghosts in the corner, uncredited brilliance, the stories deliberately erased. Let us unearth the SILENCED - it is their turn to scream.

What we're looking for
Echo Review wants history. We don't mind what it is, or how personal it is--we simply want work that will force us to look back at the past. We want your raw, beautiful, hideous, real, wonderous depictions of it. To keep it simple; if it can be classified as historical content, we want it.
Unless an issue is specifically labelled as un-themed, we do not accept work that is unrelated to history in some way.

What we're not looking for
While we are glad to consider work that explores the darker faces of humanity and history, we will under NO circumstances accept work that glorifies or agrees with mankind's prejudice, hatred, or violence. We want to discuss these issues, not place them on a pedestal.
